Heat and Housing For Heroes

United States’ Military Veterans are among the least likely to come forward to ask for help in times of trouble, even when they find themselves facing life threatening situations.  Pride is often the principle barrier for Veterans in receiving this much needed assistance.  Recognizing this, in September, 2013, Energy Services, Inc. and the Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund launched its statewide Heat and Housing for Heroes Campaign! The Heat and Housing for Heroes Campaign is uniquely designed to avert life threatening energy related emergencies by helping struggling Veterans keep their heat and power on; while also providing adequate resource connections with other State, County and Veteran services for optimal, long-term household stability.

Festival Foods

With only $500 of borrowed money and a lot of enthusiasm, Paul and Jane Skogen opened a 3,000 square foot store that was attached to their house in Onalaska, Wisconsin in 1946. Today, the family- and employee-owned company operates more than 20 full-service, state-of-the art supermarkets and employs more than 7,000 full and part-time associates.  At Festival Foods, our customers are our guests. And although our story started years ago, we still operate with the same servant leadership philosophy and the same care for our guests as we did when there was just one store.  With family at our core, our goal is to give each and every guest the personal attention and support we would expect for our own families.
